Hands down the worst installing screen protector I have ever had. The entire screen was covered in bubbles. However after some use of the phone they eventually went away

Update: new picture – after 2 days the screen protector has tons of micro scratches (only really visible in direct light) and a couple of normal scratches. I work at a paper mill, so there’s lots of microscopic debris around from the paper making process. Unfortunately, this screen protector is far too delicate for scratch protection. Last phone didn’t look that bad after 2 years with no screen protector.

Original post: First, these are “easy”, with a “precision” guide box. All of that is a lie. There is nothing easy or precise about this compared to any other screen protector

I followed the guide exactly. Step by step. First screen protector went on crooked. Not a big deal, but it also had horizontal lines visible. Idk if it was a defect, or how it went on, but visible lines were unacceptable to me.

Gently pull it off and attempt to reapply. Same issue.

Well, ok, I bought a backup just in case. Follow steps exactly, and again, slightly crooked, and weird air bubble pockets. Work at gently removing the air bubbles, and end up with this (see picture). Weird blemish/mark at the bottom. It’s not an air bubble, because I can’t work it out. If I lift a corner and try to reapply, I can get everything else flush, except that one bit. I can press down on it to get it flush, but it reappears in seconds.

For most people, they will look at the picture and say it’s no big deal, and deal with it. That’s fine. I’m a bit OCD, and as it’s a brand new phone, want it to not have a blemished/defective screen protector.

For the price, I’d expect better QA from these. I’ve placed a new order in the hopes I get one without a blemish/defect.

With that infuriating info done with. These are smooth as the phone’s glass. And they do feel pretty solid, while also being flexible. Previous phone had a “glass” screen protector that cracked within days because it was so inflexible.

The positives are why I’m attempting a third. Fingers crossed I simply got a bad, early batch.

While install was a bit tedious this thing saved my screen. The phone got completely closed in a lift gate….cracked the protector but saved my screen.

It does its job. It’s nerve-wracking to put on. I was careful, followed instructions and yet STILL, somehow, a piece of acrylic fiber got between the screen and the protector. It’s gonna be there for me to eye twitch and stare at for the next while.

I’ve had this phone two weeks and I already have a couple scratches somehow, but the scratches are on the glass and not my phone.

Advice: if you ever put on a screen protector, it’s there. Never try to pull it off and back on if it’s a tempered glass protector. It won’t reseal properly.

Edit: I put an Otterbox screen protector on an S23+, used it and then gave the S23+ to my daughter when I received my S24+ (great phone, btw). Her phone hasn’t been babied like mine. Mine has more scratches for some reason. I’ve had this a month and a half and I’m already looking at a different screen protector. It’s keeping my screen protected. It’s doing it’s job. However it currently looks like my arm did that time I tried to give a cat a bath – scratched up and lines everywhere. Otterbox has two types of glass. Use the other or buy a different brand. Not this one.
