It works well as a screen protector and will protect your screen from scratches. It’s a softer flimsy material so it may not protect your screen from shattering if dropped. With the screen protector applied, the touch screen still works perfectly, very responsive. I retrained the fingerprint sensor, as per their instructions, and the fingerprint sensor still works perfectly as well as before. The provided cleaning supplies work well to clean the screen before installing the protector.

This protector will dull the screen a little bit, make it a bit dimmer and a little less vibrant, but not as bad as some reviewers have suggested. This is a privacy filter so you’ll get the best view looking straight at the screen, not at an angle. That’s the whole point. When looking straight at it, I’m happy with the picture I get, still plenty bright and vibrant for my taste.

However, I feel the privacy filter isn’t that effective. Even when staring at the phone at about a 60-70 degrees, I can still pretty clearly make out the contents of the screen. Somebody sitting next to me is likely going to be able to see everything I’m doing on my phone. Furthermore, the privacy filter only works left to right, not up and down. So somebody standing above you will see everything on your screen clear as day.

The install instructions are easy and straightforward, especially if you watch the online video. However, following their instructions left me with significant bubbling. I’ve installed many screen protectors for myself, family, and friends, so I know what I’m doing. Despite my best efforts, I was left with many large bubbles under the screen.

Instead, I carefully peeled back the screen starting at the top about 3/4 of the way down (not all the way to the bottom) and carefully reapplied it, holding the screen up with one hand and using the squeegee to press the screen back down from bottom to top. I did this again, but in the other direction starting by peeling up the screen from the bottom. Doing it this way I was able to remove all the bubbles and it looks much better. You can see the before and after in my photos.

The provided tray was useful for centering the screen protector, but otherwise I had to take my own approach to apply this screen protector without bubbles.

I only give this 3 stars because I expected better for the price. The privacy filter isn’t that effective and my first attempt at installing the screen left many large bubbles.

The finish on it is rather bad. It really dulls down the screen. Wouldn’t ever buy again. First and last zagg item. The impact to the brightness is absolutely nuts. If you want your screen to remain clear as if you didn’t have a screen protector this is not the way to go at all.

I like the silky feel under finger and writing with the S Pen is great, as it has enough drag to feel like paper without grinding the tip down fast (so far). As others have mentioned, the privacy is limited to the side views only, and the colors and brightness are muted, as well as glare due to the matte finish. As far as the finger print reader goes, it works “better” now that I have re-done them after installing the screen protector. All in all, would I buy it again, probably not due to the muted brightness and hit-and-miss fingerprint recognition. Otherwise it’s been easy to keep clean and protecting the screen flawlessly with super easy install and NO bubbles.

ZAGG makes the best screen protectors by far! The quality of the product and ease of application makes it very easy to center it perfectly with no air bubbles. They’re more known for their iphone screen protectors as thr S series curved screens create an issue but this one for the S24 Ultra was the best screen protector I’ve had!
