This made an instant difference in the quality of the ice and water out of the refrigerator. The water no longer has a “taste” (like out of the faucet). The ice is no longer filled with air to melt quickly. 100% recommend this product. The install was simple and took less than 20 seconds. These filters are a good value, even though they are more expensive. We save a lot by using the refrigerator water rather than buying cases of bottled water.

This product functions as it should. There is a valuable note to add though. Some Fridgidaire Gallery models can accept this filter although it is not the correct one for them. If your model has filter monitoring that tells you when to change it, it will NOT do it accurately with this filter. It does not have the chip that is required at the end. It definitely is not a bad product though.

Our old filter cracked, I haven’t had any leakage with with one yet. I have noticed sometimes the water tastes strange, but I think our ice cubes come from a different filter(I haven’t figured it out yet). I couldn’t find this specific filter anywhere so of course I found the right place. It wasn’t as expensive as the others I found and it was easy to install.
