If you use a full-tower or mid-tower PC instead of a laptop or small form factor PC, you may want to look for a longer cable. The power cable for the powered ports is also a bit short, but overall is a solid and reliable product like most Sabrent products.

This hub is extremely useful. I’ll start by mentioning the only flaw I see with this product, and that’s the built in USB-C cord. I just wish it was at least a foot longer, but I suppose I can just get an extender if I really need the extra length. I’ve been a fan of Sabrent products for years now. I expected this to be high quality and I’m pleased to say this hub has met my expectations. I have a bunch of different USB hubs, some of them with USB-C including power delivery. But this hub stands out since it’s powered by a wall plug. This can be plugged into the wall and used to charge multiple devices through USB-C without needing to plug this into a computer whatsoever. That wasn’t something I realized I could do when I ordered this so it was a nice surprise. The USB-C charging isn’t super fast but it’s fast enough to be a viable option for charging my phone. This hub provides all the USB type A and type C ports I need. There might be some occasions where I need a few more ports, but I have more hubs for that. The on/off switches on this hub are also really nice to have. Overall this is a top-quality USB hub!

Great hub for both USB A & C devices. Each connection point is individually powered on or off, providing great flexibility for using specific components. The connection cable is longer than most common hubs, so provides reasonable flexibility regarding placement.

Bottom line – flexible choices all around.

First up I take a half star or a star off because nothing says how long the cable is for the device! I was expecting much longer, but it’s pretty short at just barely 23” which is WAY shorter than what I need for my setup.

But in general I love the metal chassis build quality. The buttons leave a little to be desired though as they’re a tad mushy and not premium feeling. That is a really minor complaint though. It easily connects, transfers data at speeds I’d expect and I was able to get 19.18W (12.15V@1.58A) out of the dedicated power port. I’m pretty satisfied with it overall.

First, I must say, this works excellently! It is exactly what I was hoping for. I’m someone who constantly is juggling USB devices for both (and between) work and personal use all day long, everyday. So this is a blessing to have as a tool, able to mount devices on-demand, drives, etc.

And, it has power output for charging. I’ve only been using it for a few days, but I’m totally impressed and overall have had nothing but a great experience with it. This is definitely an essential part of my setup now. I have a Mac, and it works seamlessly.

One of the big features of this hub is the variety of ports it offers. 3 USB-A ports and 4 USB-C ports. I can easily connect all my devices, from things like my wireless keyboard and mouse to my-many external hard drive and phones/iPad/more.

Also, the USB-C ports are particularly useful, as they provide faster data transfer speeds and higher power output, including 20W Power Delivery to charge devices like my iPhone. I love about this hub is the individual switches for each port. The clear status LEDs make it incredibly easy to see which devices are active and which aren’t.

Heat? Nope. None really. This thing runs cool and is silent. Another nice feature.

I *highly* recommend this to anyone in need of a versatile and powerful USB hub and especially if you have a use case like mine (lots of devices, some you want connected all the time and some you don’t).

Right off the bat, I like the fact that this USB hub from SABRENT is a hefty metal construction and not the plastic that most competitors use. This unit is built tuff and should be able to take a beating if you are rough with your external devices. There are seven ports on this unit… three USB-A, four USB-C. Each port is Gen 3.2 at 5Gbps. The three USB-A ports are 5V/500mA and the next three USB-C ports are 5V/900mA, which is plenty of power to charge devices quickly… however there is an included seventh port (USB-C) on the end of the hub that provides 20W of power for a much faster charge. This port provides power all the time, there is no need to have your computer on for this port to provide power, just have the hubs power brick plugged into the outlet. The other six ports will require your computer to be turned on and the small (low profile) button on the hub to be depressed which turns on a blue power light, showing that port is active.
The power brick cable length is 60 inches (from the end of brick; where the cable starts, to the power plug port), which is plenty long. The braided USB-C cable coming from the hub that you will connect to your USB-C port on the computer is quite short… 23 inches. That might work for some if not most people, but I need at least 36 inches in order to plug it into the top/front of my computer then rout it to the top of my desk. It would have been nice if SABRENT did not have the cable fixed to the hub and instead just left it as a USB-C plug so everyone could have the option to use a longer cord to best fit their computer configuration.
Anyways, this hub is a top-notch unit and well worth the investment. I have tried all the ports, and they work as expected. They all transfer data/pictures/video, etc… fast. They all charge fairly quickly, especially the 20w USB-C port which shows up on my Samsung S22 Ultra as “Fast Charging”. I have many USB hubs and this unit is now my favorite (despite the short hub to pc connection cord).

Got this to add some more ports on my desk. This has a power supply and can charge or support some higher power devices like external hard disks, and can charge devices without putting a strain on your computer port. I tested several devices and cables and everything worked as expected. Speed are good and devices are stable.
