Up until now I had 4 networks in my home, and surrounding property, 2 ea of both 2.4 and 5Ghz. I am using a MAJOR ISP and their supplied router as a gateway, with my own aging, but more powerful (range) router plugged into it. I needed the range in order to have WIFI access in my 3500 sq/ft cabinetmaking shop that is in the rear of my property away from the house.
I always connected my devices according to their speed capabilities, and or distance from the 2 routers in my livingroom to either the 2.4 or 5 Ghz bands. In addition I have 2 fully computerized telescopes that are equipped with dedicated astro cameras for hobby use. They are controlled remotely from within the house via wifi.
I decided on this TP Link mesh system for its range, and to replace my older ASUS router. I wound up with more than I had hoped!!!
    1. I no longer need 4 networks! I’m down to one! The TP Link can handle up to 200 devices, and connects each one according to its needs and capabilities, automatically. It also adjusts on the fly if needed. I was also able to directly connect WITHOUT the Fios router, which I originally did not anticipate.
    2. With one unit in the front of the house, and the other in the rear, I am getting -70db signal strength inside of my shop. That signal is penetrating a stucco framed house wall with metal mesh, across a parking lot, and through a cinderblock walled shop with ease!
    3. When in operation, I monitor my telescopes as they are slewing to different deep sky targets, and the images being captured by their onboard main cameras, as well as the guide scope cameras. There is a lot of telemetry taking place! I used to have range extenders as a safeguard so as not to lose image updates. The telemetry would typically update at 3 to 6 Mb/sec @ 5 Ghz. The TP Link mesh has tripled the speed of the telemetry, so I’m seeing on screen updates within 3 to 5 seconds rather than 15 to 20. I did not expect this either!

Installation was a breeze using the Deco App, I took my time, and was up and running in 20 minutes, still using the Fios router connection.
There have been no hiccups whatsoever in the two weeks it has been running. I disconnected the Fios router on day 3, “just to see” if I could do without. It’s now awaiting return, and I won’t be paying the rental charges for it. My 3 TV’s streaming, security cameras, PC, 5 tablets, and other smart devices are all playing nicely, and I’m a VERY HAPPY CAMPER!!!

This is my first venture into a mesh network and I purchased this because the house I just moved into wasn’t hardwired with ethernet. The builder only ran ethernet into the master closet and the kitchen. I was skeptical about the speeds this could push, but using the satellite node over a wireless 6G backhaul connecting to my desktop over Wi-Fi I’m able to hit speeds up to 1260mbps max, on ethernet I get a really stable ping but my speed is limited to 940mbps on the built in ethernet port. I didn’t think it was possible for the mesh network to provide speeds and consistency as good as ethernet. I don’t notice any difference in connection reliability or consistency. I played a lot of Rocket League on this setup and that game is very ping sensitive, and I never had any issues.

Between the two nodes is a bathroom and a laundry room. There are a total of 4 walls, a washer/dryer and lots of clothing, and about 25ft between the two nodes on my house.

My ISP limits uploads to 40mbps so I can’t speak on the max uploads. I’m able to get good speeds with just two mesh nodes upstairs providing coverage for my entire house. Downstairs our older iPhones get about 400-600mbps, my ’21 MacBook Pro gets about 850/40.

I love how easy the Deco app is to use. I have named all my devices, set them to use whichever band they need. I started using the IoT network for our baby monitor and all of our smart switches and lights, and it provides security I didn’t previously have.

Overall, I think this is the best value for a Wi-Fi router that you can ask for. It’s small and easy to setup, it has ridiculously good range compared to the router I used to have that multiple antennas on it.

The wifi 5 router was becoming a bottleneck so it was time for an upgrade. First went with the Eero pro 6, everything about it was fine except for one thing. When moving from room to room, my devices would never switch to the nearest access point. It was frustrating that when the signal became noticably weaker it stayed on the App that was further away. It would never switch to the nearest AP until I disabled wifi on whatever device I used. To me this is not seamless or a true mesh. The forums said this type of handoff is device dependent. Ok but…

The older TP-Link never had this problem. And with this XE75 pro, performance is so good, signal strength is great, app is very easy to use, etc. Using wireless backhaul, I am able to get 80-90% of the max download speed. Even better, it performs as a true mesh system with flawless handoff as I move around. Within a few min, i will be connected to the nearest AP.

With the same devices, Eero can’t achieve the same level of seamless performance like the TP-link systems. Great job TP-Link! I honestly preferred the Eero and not TP-Link for obvious reasons but just couldn’t.

I had previously used TP-Link Deco X20’s in an 1800sqft condo, and they worked very well. I’ve since moved in to a 3 story townhouse with a basement, so I needed more coverage. I was glad to find that I could use these X75’s alongside my X20’s. So I have one pod on each floor, and it covers every square inch of my home, as well as the garage, backyard, and front driveway. Excellent coverage with solid speeds even outside.

I’m using these pods with wired backhaul through MoCa adapters connected to my existing coax outlets. I can then utilize the 2 extra ethernet ports on each X75 pod (the X20’s only had 1 extra port) for completely wired connections. I even attached a 5 port switch, and it works beautifully, providing wired connections as needed, along with fantastic WiFi converage and stability.

While these are probably not the most customizable mesh wifi pods out there, there are lots of options, and all the standard things are there. They keep it pretty simple, and that’s a good thing. They work extremely well right out of the box. What more do you need?
