Although I wished it came with the switch and vice versa, the power supply hasn’t let me down yet. You need to get your own cable to connect the two, but I have used one as the main power and one as redundant and havent had an issue yet.

This power supply is a Beast! It barely gets warm under full load conditions. It has a DIN mount on the back. I used this to make a custom Power supply. Just pair this with a voltage regulator of your choice and an enclosure. I made a 2 channel system. 1 power supply per channel. Built very well. It also has a voltage adjustment screw. It goes up to about 51.5 volts.

We installed this 240W power supply and if it not connected to the Trendnet switch, it has no problem with power. If you then wire it to the switch, while power supply still has power, still have no issues with power. Keep in mind this is with switch populated with (3) POE low wattage cameras. Here is the issue……Unplug the power to the power supply and plug it back in……As if a power outage. The power supply cannot handle the startup requirements of the switch……with and without ANYTHING plugged into it. The switch goes into a constant reboot. There is no way that a 10port POE switch cannot be ran off a 240W power supply. So I think their is a design issue with this power supply and In-Rush current of bootup of switch is not supported.

Does what it’s made for. Great value for the price compared to other more expensive power supplies.
Don’t have anything to complain about.

We installed this Trendnet SDR-240-48 power supply together with a Trendnet TI-PG102 POE switch in an outdoor box to boost the signal to IP cameras that were roughly 500 feet from our main equipment. This steel box is in located next to a light pole in a parking lot in Las Vegas, in full sun, and survived it’s first 115+ degree summer with no issues. It’s been running fine for 9 months now and has not needed a reboot or anything. Fingers crossed it will survive several years!

Bought two of these to power some PLC equipment. the are nice and compact.

Pro: This power supply works and holds the voltage constant and the set point. (48 VDC)

Con: At only 25% load the bench it does double duty as a hot plate. It consistently stayed above 52C (125F)

Great little power supply. Used it to power electronics inside traffic controller cabinets and this thing is a workhorse. It doesn’t generate much heat and works great in the enclosure environment.
