Melitta has always been my go-to product for filters . . .until too many broke on me, wasting hand ground coffee and making a mess. I emailed Melitta about this and they replied that the filters need to be folded on the perforation before use. The directions are on the box…but really, who reads directions to coffee filters? They sent me two boxes of free filters. I told them I was more than satisfied and will be a Melitta customer for life. They are a great value for an unbleached filter.

What? A coffee filter than actually holds coffee grounds? In all seriousness, these work. Unbleached I’m hoping means not made with chemicals, but these days who knows. They work well, don’t fall apart when taken out of the basket and fit my Hamilton Beach 12 cup drip coffee maker just fine (also bought on this site). So they do a job and a box of 100 lasts me about 3 months – a pot a day, plus a few for when I run vinegar through the system and then clear water.

Both boxes were crushed, but still sealed. Filters inside were not damaged and fit my filter holder fine.

Bought these filters for my Cuisinart 14 Cup Coffee Machine. I have been buying the white filters but the prices for them went up substantially at time of this purchase so I decided to try the Natural Brown filters. No difference noted. Some reviewers mentioned a slight taste. I used dark fine grind coffee for my coffee machine and noticed no taste at all. The price was right and no difference between white or natural brown for me.

Why pay more for a one time use coffee filter. I’ve bought these un bleached filters several times. Usually two single boxes at a time. For whatever reason the single priced box is cheaper than buying multiple boxes packaged together.

I have always liked the Melita number 4 cone filters for my Braun coffee pot and they are convenient and work well. Sometimes they are expensive however but I got a good deal on Amazon and purchased them. If I could get them for the same price or just a little higher, I will be purchasing them again.
