I bought the motorized 120″ screen. It’s great so far. Buy your own mounting stuff like the c hooks to hang it or the screws for mounting it which ever you choose as they are not provided in the box. Shipping also took me anyway about 3 weeks so patience is a must.

So I was using one of those cheap Walmart $20 fabric screens, but the problem I had with those, is that I had mine close to the wall, and the light from the projector would shine through it hit the wall and bounce back onto the screen from the backside, and everything look whitewashed. So I decided to get something better.

I went with this screen, and I must say I’m pretty happy with it. At first I was kind of reluctant to get a motorized screen but I figured why not.

I used a magnetic bubble level to hang it myself to make sure everything was nice and straight. I honestly feel this job would be much easier with two people but it’s very possible with one.

When you first get the screen and roll it down for the first time, mine went pretty far down and the screen is all black on the upper part of the screen when rolled all the way down. You could just use the remote to stop whenever you want but there’s a way to stop the unit whereever you want without manually stopping it .There’s an adjustment screw behind the unit. It’s yellow in color and it’s shown in the last picture of this review. One 360° rotation of that screw counterclockwise will Make the screen not go down as far approximately .62 inches (5/8 inch). Clockwise will make the screen go down further which means when you do this and fine tune it, you have to take the unit off the wall every time you make an adjustment then put it back up and roll back down to see if you get your desired results.

As I couldn’t find this information anywhere in the description, I’ll point out that The power cable length is approximately 6.8 feet long. However there is a control box that’s wired onto it that you can also use along with the remote to raise and lower the screen. I kind of don’t like the box on that wire cuz it’s kind of big. Although I realized, as I have mine hanging above my closet door, I actually hid the box inside my closet so it’s not showing and the remote will still works. It doesn’t have to have that line of sight. In fact I tried it from my kitchen and which is a completely different room and the remote still worked. So the remote probably works with radio frequency. Also note that the box is not dead center of the wire as it’s closer to the unit rather than the plug end but not by much.

Also I noticed that the screen slightly curls inward along the edges of the screen mainly where it’s black. This doesn’t bug me at all but I feel like this might bug some. But also note that the white part of the screen remains completely flat.

I did notice two little black spots on my screen but they weren’t very big at all. I actually touched them up with a white Posca paint marker, and now you can’t even notice it.

When rolling down the unit the first time also, The screen kind of smelled heavily of paint. Don’t know if it was actually paint that I smelled, but it smelled like it. I decided to leave the screen down for a couple days to see if it goes away and it appears to be doing that. (Update: after about 3 days, the smell was gone)
As how I have the screen adjusted, it takes about 35 seconds for it to go completely down and the same time to go back up. Obviously that time will very depending on how you set your screen up if you wanted to go down further and such.

The screen is also pretty thick which is great because light doesn’t go through it and bounce off my walls and shine back onto the screen. There is no light bleed through at all.

That’s pretty much all they have to say at the moment about the screen. Overall it’s a pretty solid screen. I’m sure there’s better ones out there but for their price I paid for this one I’m very very happy with it and it is right now I have no complaints. I will update this further should problems arise.

I was able to pick this up for just under $136 (pretax) and I was skeptical since it was cheaper than a lot of similarly sized manual pull-down screens I saw when I was shopping. Now that I’ve installed it though, I am blown away by the value. Everything on it works great and the installation hardware has held up well. The only minor gripe I have is that the cord to the remote that is hardwired is too short for my particular circumstances, but that’s no big deal since it comes with a wireless remote anyway. July recommend.
