Previously owned three Corsair Headsets, Wired HS60s, Wired Corsair Void Pro, and the SE HS70s Wireless. Non had the best sound or mic quality, had driver problems, and did not last the test of time. Some malfunctioned in some areas or simply stopped working. Researched this headset and now I can say it’s a great purchase. The Razer Synapse software increases the quality of both the mic and sound. Included virtual surround sound as well as other useful filters like noise gates and noise cancellation. The headset muffles sound and has a useful mute button and volume knob. Would buy again and again, and only 1 week in owning it. Noticeable results gaming and movie watching!

This set of headphones was highly recommended and reviewed and at a decent price. I took the gamble and am very satisfied. It was a breeze to set up with the USB sound card and the sound is superb.

I don’t believe that these are noise canceling but they might as well be because I can barely hear anything when I have them on.

    Pros:
    -Over ear comfort!
    -Great sound quality
    -Super lightweight
    -Easy to set up

    Cons:
-I’m not fond of the mute button placement on the earpiece, but I can live with it.
-Volume knob on the earpiece is also meh…but I don’t mess with it much

I’ve been a Logitech guy for 20 years, but they have been falling behind for some time now, especially in terms of software. Last year I switched to a viper 8k mouse from a gpro, and the software was night and day better. Many more features, some of which are now must haves for me. Since I had such a good time with that razer product, I figured it was time to try out some of their other products.

For the past 7 or so years I’ve gone through a series of inexpensive G432 headsets, which have been dependable and for the price quite good. I chose the blackshark v2 as my next set because I was looking for a USB DAC headset that had good ear isolation, comfort, and overall quality. I can tell you, it exceeded my expectations.

USB DACs are the way to go because they suffer no compression from bluetooth, and also are isolated from electrical interference that plagues motherboard sound chips (the buzzing you’ll hear on some computers when you use the mini audio jack). This DAC’s amplifier is plenty loud for a headset and crystal clear.

The sound quality of the blackshark v2 is above average, but not outstanding. The mic is one of the best for a headset I’ve used. The set is very comfortable and has excellent ear isolation.

The real draw of this set is the software, which is excellent. It has an equalizer for both the output and the input, and a slew of software filters to help improve sound quality for both input and output. The THX surround sound does sound good, but I would say it is more of a gimmick.

For the price, I couldn’t ask for more. Well done Razer!

I really like these headphones. Having used Razer mice for years, I decided to try these. I did a lot of research and every review site I saw had these in their top 5.

Then I saw they had the refurbished and figured I will go this route and be out less money if I don’t like them. I love them.

Couldn’t believe how much sound these cancel out. Really helped me get into the game I am playing without so much outside noise. Let my wife check them out and she wants a pair just to cancel out all the extra noise we have in the house these days.

They also sound great. I think with less outside noise, the sound comes thru even better. Couldn’t believe all that I was missing while gaming.

I love the way they look and they are very light weight and adjust quite easily. They feel so comfortable on my head and my ears as well. Best headphones I have ever had. Hoping they last a long time, and if they don’t, I will definitely be getting a brand new pair of these.

I like it, but the mic is really loud and picks up every single noise around me. I have an my settings to the lowest mic level

I bought this headset so that I could record gameplay and party chat simultaneously on my PS4 while using the AverMedia Live Gamer Portable 2. The PS4’s capture function downgrades footage to 720p60fps, and I want 1080HD@60fps. If you don’t plug your headset directly into the AverMedia, and say input into the controller or use a USB instead, the LGP2 will record gameplay without any audio. I tried out a few different options that just weren’t loud enough for me to be competitive in Warzone before I decided to purchase the Razer BlackShark V2.

Happily, this is loud enough. It also has the ability to hook into a computer with a USB connector thereby eliminating the need for an audio splitter. The headset is comfortable and it sounds really good, although there is only a single channel of sound. Game chat and game audio are not separate, but for my needs that isn’t a huge deal. I really appreciate how low key this headset it, black and green, no flashy lights, just solid performance.

For under $100, this is a good purchase. It’s compatible with all consoles and PC, and is compatible with my AverMedia Live Gamer Portable 2 which is the reason I purchased it in the first place. The sound is loud enough, although there were times when I wish it could have gone louder than it’s loudest setting, but it’s probably safer that it doesn’t. The microphone needs some adjusting to get to the appropriate parameters, mine was loud and crackling until I adjusted it’s settings through my Playstation’s menu, but after that was done the members of my party reported that it sounded crystal clear.
